XVI Pre-Nyokum Celebration 2024

The XVI Pre-Nyokum festival was observed with a plethora of festive events and cultural presentations at DNGCI. The celebration's motto for this year was "loss of culture, loss of identity."

Addressing the function as chief guest Shri Amjad Tak, IAS, Commission Education, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, extended his gratitude to the students for making him a part of the celebration and also wished Happy Nyokum Yullo 2024. He advocated learning past wisdom and preserving Nyishi culture.

Shri Tok Jama, ZPM, 1 Borum Zilla, graced the occasion as Guest of Honour. In his speech on the occasion, he advised students to uphold fraternity and communal harmony within the college.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. M. Q. Khan, Principal of DNGCI, emphasized to the students the importance of maintaining tribal identity and urged everyone to speak in their native tongue in order to preserve their cultural heritage.

As special invitees, Shri Tagru Joshap, Assistant General Secretary, RGUSU, and Shri Thaddeus Techi, Secretary Mobilization & Assistant Cell (AAPSY) attended the event.

The program was beautifully anchored by Mr. Tarh Sonu and Ms. Kabak Malini. This year, Mr. Dora Son Musha served as the organizing chairman of the XVI Pre-Nyokum Celebration 2024, while Mr. Tarh Tagum served as the organizing secretary.
